In a just published Form 13, filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Scientific Industries Inc. (OTCMKTS:SCND) reported that Kleiman Lowell A has picked up 67,000 of common stock as of 2017-03-10.
The acquisition brings the aggregate amount owned by Kleiman Lowell A to a total of 67,000 representing a 4.49% stake in the company.
For those not familiar with the company, Scientific Industries, Inc. is engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of a range of benchtop laboratory equipment, bioprocessing products and catalyst research instruments. The Company operates through three segments: the manufacture and marketing of standard benchtop laboratory equipment for research in university, hospital and industrial laboratories sold primarily through laboratory equipment distributors and laboratory and pharmacy balances and scales (Benchtop Laboratory Equipment Operations); the manufacture and marketing of custom-made catalyst research instruments for universities, government laboratories, and chemical and petrochemical companies sold on a direct basis (Catalyst Research Instruments Operations), and the design and marketing of bioprocessing systems and products and related royalty income (Bioprocessing Systems). It is also engaged in the sublicensing of bioprocessing systems and products.
